What Does Consulting Cost?
So you are ready to get started. You have identified that this may be the market you are looking to enter and also realize you could use some help. That is why we are here. However, cost and payment structure matter because, lets face it, you are starting a new businesses and heavy upfront fees don’t work. This is why we have created two types of payments for our services and each are done per month. Our consulting is based on two different models. The first model is your standard, by the hour, consulting. Similar to how you pay a lawyer. The second is based on project scope, and is our most popular.
Hourly Retainer Consulting
The Drug Rehab Agency charges $250-$350/hour for our time depending upon who is involved. Similar to that of a law firm, the higher up the organizational structure you go, the higher the price point. The key to this consulting is that the process of opening a treatment center is a minimum of 6 months with the average being more around 8-9 months. This model gives clients access to answers when they need them, on any topic. With a 24 hour SLA, our clients are able to get answers to their questions quickly to help them be more effective in the recovery business. It is like having a consultant as your own personal advisor.
Our clients are set to a minimum of 10 hours of consulting time each month from which our consultants draw. This model also offers a rolling 60 day recognition of hours. This means a client that contracts with us for 10 hours a month but one month uses just 8 hours the following month they will have 12 hours available. However, these hours only roll for a single 30 day period. If hours continue to roll over, we will drop down to a one-time retainer that is not monthly as it makes the most sense for our client.
Project Scope Pricing
By far our most popular option when it comes to starting a treatment center, project scope pricing, is a predetermined rate for the project, regardless of time needed to complete the project. This pricing falls into our “All-Inclusive” model by which The Drug Rehab Agency handles every aspect of opening a center for the client. This can include ala carte offerings such as licensing a treatment center, program development, policies and procedures creation, Joint Commission or CARF accreditation, staffing, billing, and much more. The idea is the client is paying for a result, not our time. The cost of our all-inclusive program of opening a treatment center starts at $75,000 or $9,350/month.
Financing Options
Our clients are people that have a passion for helping others and that is something we value. Frankly, we would like to see more of that in the addiction space. Because of this, we know that coming up with large sums of cash may not be possible. This is why we offer financing of our services. This option eases the bourdon on our clients by taking the contract value of a project and spreading it out over up to 12 months.
As an example, a client would like us to manage their entire project from feasibility study and pro-forma, to licensing, zoning, staffing, insurance negotiations, and program development in the state of California. This starts at $95,000 based on the state and levels of care. At $95,000 the client is paying $11,875 per month for 8 months. This makes hiring a consultant much more affordable than doing it the wrong way from the start.
